DescriptionOne of our fancy engraved versions of "The gun that won the West", this type of gun was typical of the Colts regularly given as bribes for Indian land by the U.S. government. The Apache Colt is by far our most popular replica wall hanger. This non-firing version replicates gold-inlaid with beautiful engraving and has a functional lock mechanism with a revolving cylinder, working ejector system and a 4¾" barrel. Also available in an Engraved Nickel version with simulated ivory grips. HistoryThe Colt Single-Action Army Revolver was produced in several forms and many calibers from 1872 to 1940, with production totaling about 350,000 pieces. As its introduction coincided with the settlement of the "Wild" West, the names "Peacemaker" and "Frontier Six-Shooter" were popularized. Although most were produced for the military, some civilian versions were beautifully engraved at the Colt factory. Pricing
